Different.

Yesterday was different.

Well, for starters, I pushed through with my baking challenge. And yep, my very first blue berry cheesecake was a success! (Even if it stayed quite longer than it shouldve in the oven.) I cant wait to try baking it again! Pj said that the cream cheese you use would either break or make the cake. I didnt know that till today so maybe, I’ll use Philadelphia Brand instead of Nestle. Ive done my research and it read that the cheese not only affects texture and taste but the ability to incorporate certain types of ingredients. Aha. Noted.

While waiting for the cake to cool down, i hit to the gym. Burned 450 calories on the mill and did my situps. I was so excited to taste the cake at home, i did 700 situps! Weird! Hahaha. I was really psyched! Bat baaa!

So there i was, doing my routine then this guy started talking to me. I learned that his name was Mark, born on Sept7, graduated in New Era (somewhere in Q.C and is taking his masterals during Saturdays) , he has an older brother – who is gay. His parents and gay brother are all nursers. His mom is a midwife in Canada, his dad works in DENR, and his gay brother is a Clinical Instructor at PCU.

No, he’s story telling didnt just end there, when i wanted to leave the room, he politely said, if i could stay for a while. I did. For about 5 minutes. Then he goes with his life-story, saying he couldnt do his regular gym routine coz he just had a few stitches from his mouth operation. Apparently, he got braces during his formative years (all his upper teeth were protruding, and really had an uber-open bite problem) and stayed with a dentist (who turns out to be a biiig flop) – for six whole years! He said that his previous dentist doesnt even change the water cup a patient use for gargling. EEW!
So maybe, after some mental use, he switched dentists and now wants to have his teeth braced again. He said he’s teeth were so huge that stitching was the only option to get it out of the way. Ugh. He complains about yogurt and how swollen his face is. Yada yada yada. Now, thats my cue to get out. Right? He asked me again to stay but i said i was sorry that i had to go. Ta-ta!

So you think i had a quiet time for myself? Nah. In the sauna room, i met a new person, again. Her name was Winnie and she is from Netherlands! Ive never met anyone from there before, so this one is nice. =) Learned that she just got married last April and left her job and moved to Alabang coz her husband has a contract for 3 years here in the Phil (thats why she enrolled at the gym). Aha. Marriage. Weddings. A sure way to get a girl talking! Haha. She shared that she wore a blue dress and had discussions with her hubby since he wore a uniform?!?! On their wedding?!?! That i dont get. But she let him do his thing. Daw. Hehehe. What else? Uhm, she complained about our jeepney drivers – who doesnt?!? And how HOT it is here! She misses her home and is quite uneasy having some tenants rent their house for the mean time. 15minutes was up and i had to take my shower, go home and EAT! hahaha. so i said goodbye and that i love to bump into her in one of the gym class. ;)

Yesterday was indeed different. And im starting to like it. Im loving the spontaneity here. And how you think you do your usual routines, but you dont really manage to do so.

Hmmm. How about Baked Salmon for dinner? Anyone? :D
